Mind+Matter asked us to create a short animation to promote their range of personalised books. The range of books were developed alongside leading child psychologists and helps with the many problems and situations that face young children in a fun way. All of the books can be personalised with the child’s name and face, along with those of their friends and family, making each book unique to that child.
The illustrations in the books have a hand drawn / paper cut-out style, which we carried through into the overall style of the animation. Illustrations from the book were animated as well as creating some stop motion animation of the physical book opening, turning through pages and spinning around.
