We created a series of five 30-second animations for the launch of the new Dungeon at Alton Towers. Described as a ‘hilariously hideous journey through Staffordshire’s darkest history’ the dungeon involves a ride down the Black River and a visit to the Witch of Burslem’s cottage. With very few assets to work from, and an approaching deadline, our team used photo cutouts, 3D models and green screen filming (including a doll in a dress) to complete the sequences. Brand colours of Snot Green, Blood Red, Coal Black and Bone White were used throughout the animations which were versioned as 16:9 landscape, portrait and square for use on screens, social media channels and ‘totem’ advertising around the resort.
